The Section Leadership Conference is a Section-sponsored annual training event to help leaders from across our Section, both youth and adult, develop skills and relationships to better serve them both inside and outside of Scouting and the Order of the Arrow. Join your fellow Arrowmen on January 14th and 15th, 2023, at Joseph A. Citta Scout Reservation, for this excellent event. Starting Saturday evening with fellowship activities, trainings all-day on Sunday, and finishing with a Council of Chiefs Sunday afternoon.
This year, participants will be able to arrive Saturday evening. This was implemented to decrease the amount of travel Arrowmen would have to do on Sunday, that way, rather than driving to-and-from the event, individuals can choose to arrive Saturday evening. This also allows Arrowmen to tour the camp that Conclave will be held at only a few short months after the SLC! Each lodge will have a designated campsite and are asked to bring tents and other necessary camping items. Starting with check-in at 3:30pm, the Section will be hosting fellowship activities and a cracker barrel, where participants can meet their Section Officers, other staff, and Arrowmen from across the Section.
Sunday will feature a continental breakfast, lunch, and all-day trainings. Check-in will start at 8am with program at 9am, where individuals can choose from two different tracks and attend the trainings that most interest them. Program should finish around 3:30pm and a Council of Chiefs meeting will take place immediately following.
Council of Chiefs
Following the conclusion of the trainings on Sunday, the Section will be hosting the Winter Council of Chiefs meeting. Lodge Chiefs, Advisers, and others interested are encouraged to join us for this meeting, where we’ll be going over Conclave plans and other business items. This meeting gives Arrowmen a chance to learn how our Section operates!
