Section officer elections always take place during the Sunday of Section E17’s annual Conclave during the Section Business Meeting.
Any Arrowmen interested in running for section office must submit a letter to the Section Adviser, Wayne Hampton, in writing from the council Scout executive prior to the start of the Section Business Meeting. The letter must explicitly state the specific office(s) the Scout executive allows the candidate to run for. It should also be noted that all candidates must be under the age of 21 for the entire duration of their one (1) year term of office.
It is highly recommended that any interested candidates read the excerpt from the Order of the Arrow Field Operations Guide provided here that lists the eligibility requirements and the full responsibilities and expectations of each section office.
Please note that all candidates are prohibited from campaigning for section office or giving gifts or bribes to any lodges or their lodge members.
